Service Dog for Child

Christopher is a 10 year old boy, diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome, autism, hypotonia (very low muscle tone) asthma and an immune deficiency. Christopher wears glasses and braces on his legs. He has language delays and has difficulty interacting with other children.

Christopher is also a loveable little boy, who enjoys other people, hugs and anything related to fire or EMS. Due to his immune deficiency, Christopher is home schooled.

Orange County residents invited to learn about and comment on draft environmental air permit

ORANGE COUNTY, IN - IDEM invites citizens to learn about and comment on a proposed environmental air permit renewal for Texas Eastern Transmission, LP. IDEM will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the Springs Valley Bank and Trust in French Lick to provide information about the draft permit and accept comments from the public.

Deig Announces State Appropriations for Local Projects

INDIANAPOLIS, IN

The State Budget Committee recently authorized funding for three
projects in Senate District 49, which is represented by State Senator
Bob Deig (D-Mount Vernon). These projects include remodeling and
expansion of facilities at the University of Southern Indiana (USI),
restoration and repairs at Historic New Harmony and a clean up of
abandoned oil and gas wells in Gibson, Posey and Vanderburgh and
neighboring counties.

Arnold Announces Funding for Westville and Michigan City Prison Projects

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The State Budget Committee recently authorized three projects to improve security at the Westville Correctional Facility and the Indiana State Prison. Grant to Bring New Patient Care Technology to Market

LAFAYETTE, IN - Rest Assured LLC., a developer of web-based patient monitoring systems, announced today that it received a grant from the Indiana 21st Century Research and Technology Fund to further develop and market its web-based alternative to residential convalescent care.

The company's $519,897 grant will allow Rest Assured to complete the final stages of testing and commercialization of its Rest Assured System, a software application that links patient-monitoring systems with a staffed Central Indiana response center.

S.R. 23 Construction Progressing in Saint Joseph County

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Tree removal and utility relocation construction has been underway for several weeks on the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Major Moves added travel lanes project on State Road 23 (S.R. 23) between Main Street/Gumwood Road and Brick Road, but the previously announced pipe and curb removal work and lane restrictions near Main Street/Gumwood Road have been delayed.
