Honored for work on women’s issues in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - In recognition of her commitment to women’s human rights, State Senator Sue Errington (D-Muncie) has been named to the Center for Women Policy Studies’ National Honor Roll of State Legislators. Errington is one of more than 400 state legislators who have accepted the Center’s invitation to join its honor roll of lawmakers who have demonstrated their dedication to promoting women’s equality and empowerment.

Muncie Native Artist on Extreme Makeover

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Muncie native Eric Ward put his talents to work on a recent episode of ABC’s television series, Extreme Makeover Home Edition set in Indianapolis. Ward was the airbrush artist in Courtney McFarland’s “executive” style bedroom. The 14-year-old boy hopes to become a businessman one day, and the bedroom was designed to inspire him to achieve his goals.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The filing deadline for the introduction of bills this session has now passed. Senate members introduced 582 bills and 15 joint resolutions, while House members filed 711 bills and 11 joint resolutions. Results from Redkey District DUI Checkpoint and Patrols

 

REDKEY, IN - Indiana State Police troopers from the Redkey District conducted a DUI checkpoint in Randolph County during the late evening hours of the 19th. Additionally, DUI patrols were conducted during the early morning hours of the 20th within the Redkey District which includes Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay and Randolph Counties.

College Democrats of Indiana Statement about Ball State University Early Vote Polling Location Issue

 

SOUTH BEND, IN - The College Democrats of Indiana executive board strongly urges Delaware County’s Election Board to vote in favor of instituting an early vote polling location on the campus of Ball State University. With nearly 20,000 students attending Ball State University, it is the largest concentration of potential voters in the whole county. If there should be an early vote polling location anywhere in Delaware County, it should be placed on the campus of Ball State.
