United Way Campaign Makes Final Push

MADISON COUNTY, IN - With six weeks remaining, the United Way of Madison County reports $289,983 in pledges to date – nearly 30% of the $1 million goal announced last August. 

“Many workplace campaigns are still in progress and some are just beginning,” stated Nancy Vaughan, president.  “However, despite broad contact efforts by our volunteers to local businesses and individuals, pledges outside the workplace campaigns are behind where we would like to be.”

Anderson University Campgrounds

The United Way of Madison County, WQME, Chick-FIL-A and Anderson University are hosting LIVE UNITED - "The Experience" for Madison County high school and college students on Saturday, September 6th from 4-7 p.m. at the Anderson University campgrounds shelter.

The event is free and open to the public.
Chick-FIL-A will be served to the first 300 in attendance. The band "Sense of Reverence" will perform.

Madison County recieves $90,674 in FEMA-EFSP Funds

ANDERSON, IN - The United Way of
Madison
County has been awarded
$90,674 in federal funds under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board
Program. The amount is $2,403 more than last year’s award. The award is based
upon Madison
County’s total number of
unemployed as compared to the number of unemployed in all qualifying
jurisdictions. This represents the largest distribution to Madison County since 1991.
