Noblesville Logistics Company to Expand

 

NOBLESVILLE, IN - Perkins Specialized Transportation, a contract trucking firm, announced today its plans to expand its operations here, creating up to 20 new jobs. The nearly century-old company, which provides long-haul and regional truckload distribution throughout the 48 contiguous states, will invest more than $14.9 million to improve its 40,000 square-foot headquarters in the northern Indianapolis suburb.

Firm to More than Double its Indianapolis Workforce

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - National debt recovery agency Premiere Credit of North America announced plans today to expand its national headquarters here, more than doubling its 250-person workforce.

The firm, which specializes in recovering unpaid government debt, plans to invest more than $4 million to expand its eastside headquarters and to locate a second operations center at a yet-to-be-announced site in Indianapolis.

International Display Developer to Expand Its Southern Indiana Operations

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN - Retail display designer and manufacturer idX announced plans yesterday to expand its production and distribution operations here, creating more than 150 new jobs in the next three years.

The St. Louis-headquartered company, which provides retail, hospitality and financial customers with services ranging from display development to managing the construction of new stores, will invest more than $2.7 million to expand its 420,000-square-foot facility in the southern Indiana city located just north of Louisville.

Governor announces plan to help communities with foreclosure, abandoned home problems

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Governor Mitch Daniels announced yesterday the state has developed a plan that will distribute $84 million to help cities and towns across Indiana buy abandoned or foreclosed homes, demolish or redevelop vacant properties and help low- and moderate-income home buyers purchase properties in an effort to revitalize communities with the most need.

Character Counts Celebrates 10 Years in Madison County with Parade, Block Party

OHL to Expand Its Plainfield Logistics Operations

PLAINFIELD, IN - Global supply chain solutions provider OHL announced today it will expand its operations here, creating up to 120 new jobs and new training opportunities for its 400-person central Indiana workforce.

The company, one of the largest third-party logistics providers in the world, will invest more than $11.3 million at its 3.2 million square-foot Plainfield campus and use a $200,000 grant from the state's Skills Enhancement Fund to provide advanced training to its expanding workforce

Governor Daniels Requests Federal Assistance for 10 more Counties

 

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Governor Mitch Daniels today requested that President George W. Bush add 10 counties to the disaster declaration for severe weather that began September 12. They are Clark, Crawford, Dearborn, Jackson, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Pike, Spencer and Switzerland counties.
