Rep. Lutz Reacts to State of the State Address

INDIANA STATEHOUSE - State Rep. Jack Lutz (R-Anderson) had the following to say after the 2010 Indiana State of the State address by Governor Mitch Daniels on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.

“Gov. Daniels did great in his State of State speech tonight. He touched on the importance of retaining and obtaining jobs in Indiana. He stressed how critical it is that what we are doing today has a lasting impact in the future years to come on the state. During tough economic times, few states are attracting jobs besides Indiana, putting our state in far better condition than our neighbors.

Constitutional Property Tax Caps Pass Indiana House, Advance to Senate

STATEHOUSE - Representative Jack Lutz (R-Anderson) released the following statement today in response to the passage of HJR1, the constitutional amendment to permanently cap homeowners’ property taxes. The measure passed the House by a vote of 75 to 23.

 “We have finally moved forward and taken another step in the right direction by passing HJR1 today,” said Rep. Lutz. “I am pleased with the vote today, but more importantly that we have given Hoosiers the opportunity to vote on the issue of adding permanent property tax caps to the ballot in November.”

Representative Lutz wants to see Younger Faces in Statehouse

INDIANA STATEHOUSE - State Rep. Jack Lutz (R-Anderson) is encouraging local students to apply for the Statehouse Page Program. The Indiana House of Representatives offers the chance for students between the ages of 13 and 18 to come into the Statehouse to both interact and get a firsthand experience of what a full day is like involving legislative activity.

Rep. Lutz Seeks Students to Experience Statehouse Activity

 

INDIANA STATEHOUSE – In preparation for this year’s session of the Indiana General Assembly, state Rep. Jack Lutz (R-East Central Indiana) is seeking students to apply for the Statehouse page program. The Indiana House of Representatives offers a page program each year that allows students from across the state to experience the lawmaking process firsthand. Through the program, these Hoosier students get a first-hand view of the Statehouse activity as a Legislative Page for the day.
