INDOT Announces $58 Million Major Moves I-69 Project is Complete

 

I-69 from Coldwater Road to DuPont Road now open for holiday travel

ALLEN COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces today that the Major Moves I-69 added travel lanes project is now complete.  All three lanes on northbound and three lanes on southbound I-69, as well as loops and ramps at Coldwater Road interchange are now open.

I-69 Northbound Loop to Northbound Coldwater Road is Open

 

Local Major Moves Project is near complete

ALLEN COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces today that all ramps and loops at the Coldwater Interchange are now open. This includes the northbound I-69 exit loop to northbound Coldwater Road.

Minor work remains on the northbound side with the northbound outside lane closed at mile marker 114 until Wednesday, Nov. 26, weather permitting. Once the work is complete the northbound side speed limit will be moved to 65 mph.

INDOT Approves Funding for Purchase of Land

Transportation Enhancement grant to acquire property in Metamora

SEYMOUR, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) awarded Franklin County $689,600 in Local Public Agency (LPA) funding.  These funds will be used to purchase 33 acres of property in the Town of Metamora.  The property will be used for the development of a visitor's center, museum and interpretive center at the Whitewater Valley Regional Interpretive Park.

Indianapolis Restriction Update

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The following restrictions and road closures are current or upcoming for the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Many restrictions listed below are dependent upon favorable weather conditions.

INDOT presents $3.5 million check to Michigan City

This morning's ceremony part of U.S. 35 relinquishment agreement

MICHIGAN CITY, IN - The U.S. 35 (Michigan Boulevard) road transfer agreement was made official between the city of Michigan City and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) in a ceremony this morning at City Hall.

The relinquishment agreement provides the city will officially assume responsibility for the road between State Road 212 (S.R. 212) and U.S. 12 on Oct. 1, 2009. Until then, INDOT will maintain normal snow and maintenance operations.

Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors plan to shift I-465 southbound between I-65 and I-74 toward the center median into three new lanes.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN  - Westside motorists should stay alert for new Accelerate 465 traffic patterns that take effect before the morning rush hour on Wednesday, October 22. For the first time, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will open four through lanes for I-465 northbound between I-74 and I-65.

Weekend I-465 ramp closure planned at Allisonville Road

INDOT to patch and resurface deteriorating pavement

INDIANAPOLIS, IN  - Pavement patching and resurfacing is closing the Allisonville Road westbound ramp to I-465 over the next two weekends. Depending on the condition of underlying concrete, the ramp closure may only be required for one weekend.

Work begins at 10 p.m. Friday, October 17 when contractors start to mill off the existing pavement. If the underlying concrete is in good shape, crews can lay new asphalt. The ramps reopen no later than 5 a.m. Monday.
