INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The City of Washington is ringing in 2010 with a new designation. Washington is the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's (IDEM's) newest "CLEAN" community. INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Commissioner Thomas Easterly presented a plaque to Nishikawa Standard Company, LLC in Bremen to signify the company's commitment and acceptance into IDEM's Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP). Nishikawa Standard Company, LLC has agreed to replace 23 automated paper towel dispensers with 19 highly-efficient electric hand dryers which will reduce and potentially eliminate 8,500 pounds of disposable paper towel waste that is currently sent to landfills annually.
