On Saturday, October 25, Marsh Pharmacies around the state are providing local residents the opportunity to dispose of these medications in a safe and environmentally-friendly manner.

IDEM, OED talk about Hoosiers Care Program at McDonald's Event

BEECH GROVE, IN - Food, fun, and a positive environmental and safety message highlighted a family day at the newly reopened McDonald’s at 2230 S. Sherman Dr. in Beech Grove, Ind. on Saturday. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) and the Indiana Office of Energy and Defense Development (OED) presented information to patrons, along with an animal rescue organization and other businesses. Local insurance provider Ingle Harris, III and Farmer’s Insurance Group fingerprinted children to provide parents with a security record.

Anderson University Receives IDEM Grant for Campus Recycling Program

ANDERSON, IN - Indiana Department of
Environmental Management (IDEM) commissioner Thomas Easterly presented
Anderson University a ceremonial check for $25,000 Friday, September 19, 2008, at the
Flagship Enterprise Center in Anderson.

Anderson University has committed to converting itself into a
more recycling-friendly campus.  The funds will enable the purchase of
recycling trailers, bins and totes, in addition to a campaign to inform
students and faculty about the new recycling opportunities on campus.

ROSSVILLE, Ind. ─ Large piles of discarded tires pose a dangerous risk to a community’s health, safety and environment. Thanks to efforts by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), 9,000 waste tires have been disposed of properly from a site in Rossville.
