Fort Wayne Man with $700 in Stolen Alcohol Apprehended by State Troopers and K-9

FORT WAYNE, IN - A Fort Wayne man was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly stole approximately $700 worth of alcoholic beverages from a local Kroger grocery store.  The problem was that not only did he not pay for the beverages, but that the Kroger store was across the street from the Fort Wayne Post of the Indiana State Police and there also happened to be an off-duty trooper, in his marked police car, in the Kroger's lot as the suspect drove away.

INDOT Public Meeting Highlights Projects submitted for Federal Funding

Flower Pot Theft Lands Steuben County Man in Jail for Auto Theft

 

DEKALB COUNTY, IN -  A Steuben County man was arrested this afternoon on an auto theft warrant after it was alleged that he stole an unknown number of flower pots from the Kroger store, located in the 600 block of E. Dupont Road in Fort Wayne. 

Indiana State Police Sergeant Mike Toles observed a silver-colored Chevrolet Cavalier traveling northbound on I-69 near County Road 11A, at approximately 3:00 pm, which matched the description of the suspect vehicle given by the Fort Wayne Police Department.

Global Defense Company to Expand its Fort Wayne Operations

 

FORT WAYNE, IN - BAE Systems, a global developer of defense, security and aerospace systems, will expand its Fort Wayne operations by adding approximately 200 full-time positions over the next two years.

Indiana State Police at Fort Wayne Release January Statistics

 

FORT WAYNE, IN - The Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne have released statistics for the month of January.  Troopers issued 1424 traffic citations, 2005 traffic warnings and investigated 190 vehicle crashes (which included 26 personal injury crashes).  Troopers also arrested 38 drunk drivers and made 156 criminal arrests.

INDOT Announces $58 Million Major Moves I-69 Project is Complete

 

I-69 from Coldwater Road to DuPont Road now open for holiday travel

ALLEN COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces today that the Major Moves I-69 added travel lanes project is now complete.  All three lanes on northbound and three lanes on southbound I-69, as well as loops and ramps at Coldwater Road interchange are now open.

Local Major Moves Project is near complete

ALLEN COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces today that all ramps and loops at the Coldwater Interchange are now open. This includes the northbound I-69 exit loop to northbound Coldwater Road.

Minor work remains on the northbound side with the northbound outside lane closed at mile marker 114 until Wednesday, Nov. 26, weather permitting. Once the work is complete the northbound side speed limit will be moved to 65 mph.
