ANDERSON, IN - The United Way of Madison County has been awarded $93,846 in federal funds under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. The amount is $5,005 less than last year’s award. The award is based upon Madison County’s total number of unemployed as compared to the number of unemployed in all qualifying jurisdictions. This represents the largest distribution to Madison County in the program’s history.

ANDERSON, IN - Starting this fall, Anderson and Purdue universities will jointly offer students the chance to earn two master’s degrees at the same time. ANDERSON, IN - On Saturday, May 16, 2009, AIMS will host the 7th Annual Little 500 Car Show in Downtown Anderson. The day will begin with a 10K White River Run at 9:00am, “Bike to Work” Awards Celebration at 11:00am, and Car Show at Noon. Twisted Illusions will co-host the event and organize “Car Club Games” throughout the day. Songwriter Steve Wallace retired from the music business Jan.30, 2009
after 25 years. During his music career, Wallace, 38, wrote over
200 songs and has won numerous songwriting awards. He's managed to do all this while battling a
nerve disorder called 'Dystonia' - which affects his muscles
and speech.
